The Ministry of Education announced that schools closed due to Cyclone Barbara will resume classes. The cyclone, named Barbara, is expected to bring extreme weather phenomena across the Prut river into Moldova. Meteorologists explain that the cyclone is moving quite rapidly, with the bad weather episode expected to last for a certain duration. In an update, schools in the capital will be closed on October 8 due to the cyclone, with other counties also announcing the suspension of classes. Several counties, including Ilfov and Bucharest, have held meetings to decide on school closures due to the cyclone. Bucharest's schools are among those that could be closed due to Cyclone Barbara, with classes already suspended in two other counties.
