The Taliban's Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, Noor Muhammad Saqib, attended an event hosted by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), an affiliate of the Bharatiya Janata Party, in New Delhi. Afghanistan's Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, visited Darul Uloom Deoband, a prominent Islamic seminary, during his India trip from October 11 to 12. The visit aimed to strengthen historical and diplomatic ties between India and Afghanistan, with Muttaqi expressing hope for closer relations. The seminary, which has roots in the Deobandi movement, holds significant historical, religious, and diplomatic importance for Afghanistan. Despite the Taliban's restrictions on women's rights, women journalists were allowed to cover Muttaqi's event at the seminary. Maulana Arshad Madani, a prominent cleric, condemned the situation of women in Afghanistan during Muttaqi's visit.
