The company, established by Prabowo Subianto to achieve self-sufficiency in food, has seen its director, Joao Mota, resign. Mota, an activist for the integration of the Maluku region, stepped down after serving for about six months. His resignation was reportedly due to a lack of budget for six months. Prabowo has called for a streamlining of bureaucracy in the agricultural sector following Mota's departure. Meanwhile, Agrinas has received an investment of IDR 225.8 trillion from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, ensuring its operations remain normal.
