Distrigaz, the primary gas distributor in Bucharest, has resumed the staged supply of natural gas to the affected areas, particularly in Sector 5 and the Rahova neighborhood, following a powerful explosion. The explosion occurred in a building that had a contract with Distrigaz, with residents alleging that the company's recommended firm had broken the building's seals. The health status of the victims is currently being assessed. Distrigaz Sud Rețele has confirmed that gas supply has been partially restored in some streets of Rahova, while the prefect of Bucharest has announced that Distrigaz has received the green light to resume gas supply to the neighboring buildings. However, concerns have been raised about why Distrigaz representatives, who were present at the scene 24 hours prior to the explosion, did not ensure that no one could tamper with the gas in risky conditions.
