Lamine Yamal has been voted the most popular player by his peers in the FIFPro World11 for the year 2025, surpassing Ousmane Dembélé. The annual award, organized by the International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPro), recognizes the top eleven players as chosen by their fellow professionals.

FIFPRO, the global players' union, has announced its annual World XI teams for both men and women. In the men's team, Barcelona's Yamal made history as the youngest player ever to be included, while PSG dominated with six new players. The women's team featured six England players, including Hannah Hampton who was selected following her impressive Euro performance. Achraf Hakimi was the only African player in the men's team, while Orlando Pride's Barbra Banda earned a spot in the women's team. Virgil van Dijk was named in the men's team for the fifth time.
