FlyDubai, a Dubai-based airline, has strengthened its partnership with Boeing by placing an order for an additional 75 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, bringing its total commitment to the 737 MAX family to 250 aircraft. This significant order is valued at over $14.7 billion at list prices. Additionally, flydubai has announced plans to equip its entire Boeing 737 fleet with Starlink-powered Wi-Fi, providing passengers with high-speed, low-latency connectivity. In another development, the airline has selected Panasonic Avionics' Astrova inflight entertainment (IFE) system for its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

This marks the first time FlyDubai has chosen Airbus over its previous exclusive supplier, Boeing. The deal, valued at approximately $19.5 billion, is set to strengthen Airbus' position in the Middle East. FlyDubai's CEO cited range and size as the primary factors driving the Airbus jet order. Additionally, flydubai has announced plans to offer Starlink internet to its passengers, aiming to provide superfast inflight Wi-Fi.

Flydubai, a leading Emirati airline, has placed a significant order for 150 Airbus A321neo aircraft. This deal, announced at the Dubai Air Show, marks a major milestone for both the airline and Airbus, as it expands its fleet and becomes a new customer for the European plane manufacturer. The order, which is a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is a record for Airbus and a significant shift for flydubai, which previously operated only Boeing aircraft. The deal also includes an agreement with GE Aerospace for the supply of engines for the new aircraft.
