They argue that OpenAI's use of their copyrighted material without proper permission or licensing infringes upon their intellectual property rights.

Japan's trade group, which includes Studio Ghibli, has sent a letter to OpenAI, urging them to stop using Japanese art, including Studio Ghibli's, to train their Sora 2 AI. This follows warnings from Japanese publishers and companies like Bandai Namco and Square Enix, who also demand that OpenAI cease using their copyrighted content for AI training.
