This investment is aimed at boosting the staking capabilities of Solana, a high-performance blockchain. The venture capital firm, co-founded by Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, has a significant track record in the crypto space, with a total assets under management of $46 billion. In addition to this investment, a16z has also recently backed Israeli AI startup ARGU in a $2 million pre-seed round.
