The Dragonul Roșu complex in Bucharest experienced a major fire, which led to significant air pollution in the city. The fire affected nearly 4,000 square meters and took over 12 hours to extinguish. The Ministry of Environment has been continuously monitoring air quality and will publish all available data transparently. The fire resulted in PM10 levels surpassing legal limits and caused a persistent smoke odor in Bucharest, with Berceni being the most affected area, experiencing pollution levels up to four times the admitted limit. The Bucharest Garda de Mediu announced inspections in response to the alarming increase in particle pollution.
