Lactalis Group, a global leader in dairy products, has announced a strategic partnership with Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com. The collaboration aims to expand Lactalis' presence in the Chinese market, with a focus on premium cheese and yogurt products. As part of the agreement, Lactalis will open a flagship store on JD.com, offering a wide range of its popular brands, including President and Parmalat, to Chinese consumers. The partnership also includes plans for joint marketing campaigns and promotions to enhance Lactalis' visibility and reach in the Chinese market.

Lactalis, the French dairy group, has agreed to acquire Fonterra's consumer business for $2.2 billion. This deal comes as the top ten players in the dairy market, including Lactalis, reported a 9% increase in revenue to 6.3 million lei in 2024. Notably, Lactalis accounts for a third of these earnings, with only two Romanian firms remaining in the top tier.
