BPS data shows Indonesia's poverty rate at 8.47% in March 2025, with 23.85 million people living below the poverty line of Rp 609,160 per capita per month. However, the 'Rojali' phenomenon, where people temporarily fall below the poverty line, is a concern. The number of extremely poor has remained at 2.38 million since 2024. BPS has not yet adopted the World Bank's extreme poverty line due to methodological differences.
