The funeral procession was attended by thousands of ojol, causing heavy traffic congestion in the area. Ria Ricis, a public figure, also visited the funeral. The incident has sparked protests, with a demonstration planned for August 28, 2025, causing disruptions to commuter rail services in the Karet area. The Stasiun Karet has been temporarily closed due to the demonstration, with commuters being redirected to nearby stations such as BNI City and Sudirman.
