During the heavy rain event known as "codului roșu," over 2,200 calls were made to the emergency number 112 in a 12-hour period. The intense rainfall overwhelmed the drainage system in Slobozia, causing significant flooding. In response to the situation, the Minister of Transport announced the mobilization of intervention teams to mitigate the effects of the red code weather event. The Bucharest University switched to online classes for the day due to the severe weather conditions.
