Why pnrr Is Trending Today?

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) has revised its inflation forecast for the end of this year upwards. The latest statistical update has reviewed each quarterly result of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the past four quarters, providing the most recent insights into Romania's economy.

România has received the approval for the revised Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The plan, worth approximately 21 billion euros, includes around 10 billion euros for Romania by the end of 2026. Minister of Finance Alexandru Nazare stated that the economic recovery is conditioned by attracting all European funds. Adrian Negrescu described the approval as a "breath of oxygen for the economy".

The Ministry of Culture has launched a public consultation on the draft Ordinance for amending the law on copyright.

The PSD party has accused and Dragoș Pîslaru has responded, stating that the coalition is well aware of the content of the ordinance project for the establishment of measures related to PNRR. There is a new dispute between PSD and Bolojan, as the ordinance to suspend some financing from PNRR did not receive the approval of the PSD ministers. The PSD party has announced that the ordinance of the Bolojan government, which stops the projects from PNRR, needs to be revised as it did not receive the avises of the PSD ministers. An ordinance that aims to "attenuate fiscal risk" has been put up for public debate, which could potentially halt investments funded by PNRR and the Anghel Saligny program. Radu Miruță has criticized the ordinance 109, stating that it is the "guardian of combinations, corruption, and lies in state institutions.
