Romania's Police, in collaboration with the Customs Authority, has seized a record 4.8 million counterfeit banknotes, with a total value of nearly 1 billion euros, in an operation coordinated by Europol. The operation took place at the Port of Constanța, where the fake notes, marked "prop copy" as if they were film props, were discovered. The investigation is ongoing to determine the origin of the counterfeit money and those involved in its production and distribution.
