Redbird, a St. Louis-based minor league baseball team, has announced the signing of pitcher Angel Rondon to a minor league contract. Rondon, a 27-year-old right-hander, has spent the past five seasons in the Miami Marlins organization. The Redbirds also added infielder Irving Lopez to their roster, signing him to a minor league deal. Lopez, 26, has played in the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates organizations.
