Why reintegra Is Trending Today?

The "Reintegra" program, aimed at supporting Brazilian exports, has been extended and its budget increased as part of a contingency plan to counter U.S. tariffs, as announced by Governor Geraldo Alckmin. The program, which provides financial compensation to exporters, will now have its deadline extended by one year, benefiting more companies. Additionally, the budget for "Reintegra" has been increased to R$ 5 billion, with an overall contingency package totaling R$ 4.5 billion in fund contributions. This decision follows a study motivated by the "Reintegra" program, which suggested removing certain expenses from the 2025 fiscal target, as mentioned by Dario Durigan, a Brazilian economist.
