The eruption of Mount Semeru in Indonesia did not disrupt flights at Jember Airport. The eruption caused significant damage to hundreds of homes and public facilities. Ranu Kumbolo, a popular tourist spot on the Semeru hiking trail, has been affected by the eruption, with 178 hikers and tourism ministry teams trapped. The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) has been monitoring the situation and ensuring the safety of the hikers, confirming that they are in a safe condition despite being stranded at Ranu Kumbolo.
