Brazilian goalkeeper Fabio, aged 44, has broken the long-standing record for most competitive appearances in football, previously held by English legend Peter Shilton for 28 years. Playing for Fluminense in the Club World Cup against Chelsea, Fabio made his 1,391st competitive appearance, surpassing Shilton's record of 1,284 games. This remarkable achievement comes nearly two decades after Shilton set the record in 1997.
