The new facility, dubbed "Speedway Slammer," has sparked controversy, with IndyCar officials and driver Pato O'Ward expressing shock over an ICE-related post using the moniker. Indiana has announced plans to house migrants in the facility, which has been referred to as the Hoosier state's "Alligator Alcatraz." The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is set to open the new detention facility in Indiana, with DHS Secretary Kristi Noem unveiling plans for the space, officially named "The Speedway Slammer.
