Ukrainian intelligence has confirmed that Trukhanov possesses valid Russian citizenship documents, leading to his citizenship being revoked. Trukhanov has reacted to Zelensky's decision, stating that it is an act of arbitrariness. He has also vowed to sue the government over the matter. The decision to strip Trukhanov of his citizenship comes after a petition calling for his citizenship to be revoked gathered over 25,000 signatures in a matter of hours.
