Nestlé has dismissed its CEO, Mark Schneider, due to a romantic relationship with a direct subordinate. The multinational corporation, based in Switzerland, made the decision following an internal investigation that uncovered the affair. The company's board of directors considered the relationship to be a violation of Nestlé's code of conduct, which prohibits such relationships between managers and their direct reports. The dismissal comes just over a year after Schneider took on the role of CEO in 2021. Nestlé has since announced that Schneider's successor will be appointed in the near future.
