Laszlo Borbely, a key figure, mentioned that work is underway to simplify standards for sustainability reporting. Gabriel Ţecheră from TTS acknowledged the obligation to comply with a significant legislative failure, while Gabriel Şteţco from MEDAT emphasized the need for a partnership between the state and the business environment to achieve sustainability. Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of Environment, highlighted digitalization as a tool against corruption. Daniel Buda, an Europarlamentar, stressed the importance of balancing political ambitions of the EU with economic realities within the Union. Alexandru Cojocaru from Schneider Electric and Adina Călin from CEC Bank shared their insights on sustainability, with Cojocaru emphasizing the importance of data monitoring, measurement, and interpretation, and Călin stating that sustainability is about maintaining competitiveness. A study by BRD Societe Generale revealed that while half of Romanian entrepreneurs see sustainability as a cost reducer, the same proportion finds its implementation too costly, with lack of internal resources and limited access to finance being major barriers. The conference was live-streamed as its third edition.
