The leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was remembered as instrumental in uniting India. The District Congress Committee in Kishtwar observed his birth anniversary along with Indira Gandhi Martyrs' Day. The Regional Transport Office in Ladakh hosted an awareness program on his birthday.
