Several civil organizations have written a protest letter to Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă and Interior Minister Lucian Bode, expressing their discontent with the fine imposed during the Colectiv tragedy commemoration. Tudor Chirilă, a participant in the march, clarified that the event was a commemoration, not a protest. Another group of civil organizations also sent a protest letter, expressing their profound indignation at the incident. In response, the Romanian Gendarmerie has publicly apologized for the fine given during the Colectiv victims' commemoration march. The Inspector General of the Gendarmerie, Danut Dumitru, has also presented apologies for the regrettable incident.
